I think this has been a good thread , and there has been some good discussion. There has been a general feeling that tourneys have not been quite what they used to.I was trying to highlight that todays Hetmans was like old times

I agree. I find it much harder to chat with the way the current chat window works. Would like to chat more but then my game goes out the window.

well i don not like postin on here no more . but will hmans the day was a joke i thought wat .. so many half pot chip bets on 30 chip stakes ..n that s at start of game .. n its get worse as it gets higher amazin that twice had aa n no nutty bets at all was gutted so many allin in on a pair wat is game gona b like soon. now i hardly talk as i do not care it u hav aa kk ak . does not mean u hav wonn the hand .like most think they hav 2 n that why i call em bingo players .. yes they r monster cards . n i 2 hav lost on them but is it not smarter not 2 hoy ur whole pot in on a hope. i try not 2 but am forced 2 most times ... now most of time i get wrong 4 voicin opion so that s why i pm 2 most post now .. so were has the friendly gone...i would lik 2 find 1 table on site were u can play poker like old site .. had ma fav table on old op66 site i hav no fav table on this site may b i need a break seems all i do os moan on new 1 n i am tryinn so hard 2 like it n find ma feet again will keep tryin or diein

good man reap always a pleasure to play with u on the tables. Miss the friendly atmosphere on the old site too especially the 30k omaha. Had some good times on that table and learnt how to play my fav game which sadly to say does not exist anymore.

We should set up a tourney on the omaha table if there are any players left on this site? spoke to blackwater today and he spends all his time playing poker on face book wonder why?

I see the chat box as the problem for chat, not the players. Its hard to follow cos it keeps moving too much. I try to scroll to see what i may have missed and i miss whats being said as i try to scroll. The all in block is a definate bummer, not just to wish someone good luck. But it also wipes out what ever chat that is being typed at the time. And often that moment is past and too late once u are able to type it again.
Fix the chat box and i think the chat will help bring back the fun and family feel to the tourneys,

I've been on a semi-break from OP66 altogether the past couple of weeks. The forum got a little crazy and each game I played was filled with frustration and disbelief at some of the 'bad beats', not limited to OP66 tourney's but every game played.

I found that my game had changed drastically. Frankly didn't care anymore and played like it. The chat had me going crazy too as time after time people would congratulate those who won a hand that made me want to toss my computer (Don't get me wrong, I usually laugh at most "lucky hands" and have had quite a few myself ). I don't chat often anyways (too much multitasking ), but I found myself chatting less, more so because I was scared of what I might say... I think that reading all of the negativity on the forum transferred to my thoughts and magnified every bad thing about every game I played...

I guess technically my break is over, since I played a few games yesterday, and must admit that each one was enjoyable (even with horrible cards ) And we all know that seeing KingPete on the tables makes it feel like 'home' again

It's been said a couple of times on this thread, and I completely agree, that a break helps (even if only to put things into perspective once again... it is just a game, right? )

you are so right ZSA and i have to keep remembering that it is just a game. But darn it is so hard to win anything at all on this site and find myself drifting to another just to see if I can still win and whoopy i can. Just here the river can kill u and most times it does. If u don't bluff or do an all in you don't have much of a chance on these tables. Still like the chat and as dd says the chat has room for improvement.

Ive tried to read every post on this thread but frankly its just to difficult to get through.
Firstly.
Face book poker. Are you even considering that a social network site has a better poker set-up that a actual poker site? *shakes head*
Secondly.
Chat,surely is what you make it. I myself consider the new chat set-up worse that the others but only because chat is wipped by all-in. Its still the same people chatting. Dont we just need to wait a short while after somebody goes all-in?
Thirdly.
I posted this on another thread earlier.
I came up against a couple of players in the BC tonight who had questionable all-in tactics but i tried not to let it bother me. Waited till i had the right hand to take them out and did so.
I raised my chip stack massively and went on to claim a silver medal thanks to them.
Not sure i would have got that far if i had not been gifted with their chips.
These players were raising all-in with ace rag off suit hands. Calling all sorts of my pre-flop raises.
In the end i was able to show my bluffs to them when they didnt call me. Basically i sucking them in by thinking i was bluffing again when i had a great hand.
Out play them.
Take their chips.
As for the people who sit out for ages. If you play well before they start playing then you can build enough of a stack that they cant bother you later.
In the long run, great hands beat lesser hands.
Fourthly.
If you have not got gold medals in any of the OP66 tournaments then perhaps you need to raise your game and read up on poker play.
I started playing poker just over a year ago. So if i can do the grand slam then surely you can to.
Fiftly.
Patience is a major part of tournament play. Dont believe me then watch an online pro poker player like Bazultra. See how many hands he folds before he kills off an opponent. See how he responds to donkey play.
Sixthly.
If we dont educate people on how to play poker then who will? World series poker players? I will bet that you never see any of these people you talk about at a world series game.
Seventhly.
If you stop chatting and never even say NH,WP,GG, then are you not as bad as the people who say nothing all game?

Oh, i forgot to add that the silver in the BC was one of the 1st OP66 tornyz ive played in a few weeks and it was a good laugh and hard faught.
No idea where you all have been playing.
Should i guess that i was just extremely lucky.

Todays Hetmans & British Crowns , and Mammoth were all in my opinion great tourneys. I did wintness some questionable play but over all I felt that the spirt of Op66 was there. For those of you who have never played it the STL was algo a good standard and alot of fun.

i totally agree family feeling has gone even when you do try to chat you get blocked and you all know how i love to chat and have a laugh and these player that are bingo player are destroying the pleasure of playing use to love playing here but its getting harder and harder to enjoy not only the game but freinds that we have all made here

read most of the threads,and a lot is down to chat box,all in lose message,chat box dont work properly half the time, fix that,would be helpful. only been playing tournys since we moved over,and i enjoy them.hope they dont raise the buyins,as not got meny chips,plenty of credits ,but no chips,would love to play in the mammoth,would love a sponser lol,but at the end of the day u play to WIN
