Default Pocket Aces - I hate 'em!

OK not all the time but early in a game or tournament, I find it really difficult to play.

The problem I suppose is that having Pocket Aces makes you favourite. So I feel I should get a decent return from them if they win. (Especially if I'm playing Baz-Ultra tables I feel this is essential with the blinds raising so quickly)

However more often than not if I go all in everyone folds and I get back the blinds and maybe a one or two more from those in front of me in the betting.

or

I can limp in and see the flop which of course can leave you wide open as the odds on winning the hand may reduce as early in a tourny most will call on level 1 or 2 when the blinds are small - however it seems the best way to give you a better return if you do win.

I don't like to raise early in any game whatever the hand - too little and it tells the oppos I have something, when I want to raise later, too much and they simply fold.

So the questions are:

How do you play them?
&
If you are holding Pocket Aces do you look to take a decent pot or just take whatever comes your way.

a was paying u and with your luck fold em m8 k.o

Best way a play them is to go ryt to the river card and have a think of what your opponents myt have.

But as a sed a was playing in the game and it was just lucky the person had trips.

Good Luck to you in the futre and i would be honoured to play at the table with you again.

Cheers for that

I don't really mind losing with Aces if I can get the pot size up - that's Poker after all! That particular hand was good play by Funky who never suggested he had drawn anything other than a low pair - Which was after all what I was trying to do - lol

If you remember the first time I got them though I won but got a lousy return (Think it was about 60 chips) - to me that's as bad as losing with the bloomin things - lmao

Yeah a seen that but hey u got to hope that they have something. thats why i would at least wait for the turn card before i attempted to raise the pot.

Thats the problem with certain players on this site they raise n re-raise b4 the flop has even been drawen.

But i'm not in a position to give advice i'm still learning myself m8

But by the river if you haven't drawn another Ace your chances of winning are greatly reduced - I still expect to win but don't want to risk having to chuck them away to someone who I could have easily got out of the hand earlier if I'd had made the bet
