poker on the move (mobile broadband)

im thinking about getting a usb mobile broadband dongle to use for internet access. I was wondering if anyone uses mobile broadband to play poker. The download limits range from 1gb to 3gb per month and im worried i might go over this limit playing poker.

i wouldnt advise it mate, it easily eats up 3gig just playin poker for the month. I used to use it.

Sean's right u can get top up mbb but you can still go over the limit while your online, then it'll charge you a fortune per mb before you can use it again. Thats how it worked with me anyway.

but i used it to play here for about 6 months, never went over limit and you knowsssssssss how often i'm here

i was workin away 6 weeks ago, and used 3 payg. £15 top up lasted me a whole month, average 3 hours a day, with some left to spare...

Must just be me rippin the hin end out it then.
It was 3 i was on. Apart from eatin all the allowance it used to cut out a lot, that was another bad thing.

a future be careful with a dongle,depends where u are ,i got zane 1 for the lincoln area when we went fishing tried various ones the only one for the poker was vodaphone ,no good in wales not very good in stoke,and fair in the leeds area, so get one on p as u go ,any more info pm me

im already with vodaphone for my phone contract and its due for renewal so might go with vodaphone. just need to see whether pay as you go or contract is best for me. i'll probably only need it for for 6 months or so, so pay as you go might be best i think.

having a look today i see many offer a contract with a laptop included. are these good deals or just a rip off to get you into a long term contract. most were 24 months however, i see it as a way of spreading the cost of a new laptop. i need one too. hmm decisions decisions

the deals are a rip off you can buy one over the counter that is better quality, we have pay as you go vodaphone but it took 3 differant doggles on pay as you go to get the right one for the area we needed it. we had orange,3 and both were suppose to work but did not vodaphone wasn't suppose to cover lincoln but it does work better. £15 lasted us nearly 3 months so we think it is a good deal. When you get your dongle have it on a return basis in case it does not work where you are..

cheers. i actually had a look today and have decided to go for similar to what you suggest. £15 top up payg. this was the best deal i could find thats suits me, most wanted to tie you for 24 months. this one i only pay the initial £15 and that £15 is unlimited so it doesnt expire. i'll get 3gb worth of downloads for £15 which i doubt i'll use each month so i think it'll work out better than a contract which i'd be tied for for 18/24 months.
