Default Poker movies..

What movies are there that poker is an integral part of the film? I can only think of the James Bond film 'Casino Rayale' but what others are there?

And If i was to pop down to my local vid store what movie would you recommend, or not?

"Lucky You" is on HBO right now with Eric Bana, Drew Barrymore and Robert Duvall. It's ok, but definitely exists because of the explosion of hold em.

I just saw "All In" which is primarily about Texas Hold Em and some girl who was taught by her dad and ends up winning some big tournament. I didn't think it was very good though.

just watched "The Cincinnati Kid" last night and sad that this is the only thread that even mentions it.

Rounders may inspire you to play more, but this is more realistic honestly where the main character is smarter and the play more like what you see in real life. It's basically the original Rounders. It's set in a fun time period with good actors. It's a little dated, but a good watch. And you gotta love any poker movie that isn't just Hold Em. I mean who plays 5 card stud these days anyway?

I love the actual STORY of Stu Ungar, but I heard High Roller the movie was crap. I saw a fwe clips from it and it seemed really badly acted.

There was a really well made documentary on him though, that was superb

yeah that's the one. It's good, but yeah he has trouble reading until towards the end (although he did it a little TOO flawlessly in the scene of lawyers gambling). But even at the end once he "learned his lesson" he still obviously knew nothing of bankroll management.

I started watching it, but 10 minutes in I still hadn't laughed yet. I'm sure it got better, but I just couldn't sit it through
