its competative,requires skill,its physically demanding [hee,hee] ive a new muscle in my finger,there's winners and losers more the latter in my case but eh why not!!!

lets push it forward to make it an olympic event i say!

i can tell my doctor im getting plenty of exercise and currenly in training
for london 2010 or is that 2012.

Depends on how you play it, it can be sport, it can be just gambling(like slot machines or you might as well trow dices or ) and it can be just for fun also... Your view on poker makes how you play it. But i tell you what, if you dont play it like sport you will never gonna get to WSOP Thats for sure

Poker is a game not a sport' but as in sport you have to use and learn new skill's to be able to progress and improve your skill's.

yes, poker does require skill, but not physical skill. it requires mind skill, and your brain may grow, but not your body.

PS- oh and if it was, it wouldn't make a sport in the olympics 4 a long time

I would not call it a sport, neither would I call chees,tic tac toe a sport.

For me, sport involves moving(not sitter at a chair)! Poker and chees is more in the "game" area.
