| So I was thinking about royal flushes and all and thought of some questions... I'll ask one or two as an example and save the rest. Anyone else can ask similar type questions (e.g., what hand is the best hand to have against AA? etc.) So mine are: What is the best hand you can have on the flop yet still not be the absolute nuts (not be guaranteed to win the pot)? And similar to it: What is the worst hand you can have on the flop but still have the absolute nuts (can't be beaten)? So just "quote" any question(s) and give your answer (or guess), and leave another question if you want. ![]() |

| My first answer is not correct, because my hand wasn't the best one in the flop. So here goes the correct answer. Everleaf Gaming Game #349731800 ***** Hand history for game #349731800 ***** Blinds 75/150 NL Hold'em - 2012/01/24 - 08:21:29 Table 1 Seat 3 ![]() Total number of players: 6 Seat 1: nolakay ( 7902 Chips ) Seat 3: jazzsinger1 ( 395 Chips ) Seat 4: USA2704 ( 2576 Chips ) Seat 5: Bonik ( 2143 Chips ) Seat 6: iffyangel_ ( 2984 Chips ) Seat 7: missy_cilia ( 425 Chips ) USA2704: posts 75 Chips]Bonik: posts 150 Chips]** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Bonik ![]() ]iffyangel_ 150 Chips]missy_cilia folds nolakay folds jazzsinger1 folds USA2704 folds Bonik 375 Chips]iffyangel_ 375 Chips]** Dealing Flop ** ![]() ![]() ]Bonik checks iffyangel_ checks ** Dealing Turn ** ]Bonik checks iffyangel_: 150 Chips]Bonik 150 Chips]** Dealing River ** ]Bonik checks iffyangel_: 450 Chips]Bonik 1,468 Chips]iffyangel_ 1,018 Chips]Bonik shows ![]() ] straight flush J high iffyangel_ shows ![]() ] Royal Flush of diamondsiffyangel_ wins 4361 chips from main pot with Royal Flush of diamonds ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ]

| The flaw is the worst hand cannot be the nuts. Its as simple as that.

| I think your first was correct. I didn't say your hand had to be ahead on the flop I said "best hand you can have on the flop" and still be beatable. I didn't mean you had to be beat on a particular street... just ever. So what's the "weakest" hand you can have on a flop and still be guaranteed to win against any possible possible hand? |

| The worst hand on flop that cannot be beaten no matter what happens in turn and river is 56 suited while the flop is 234 with the same suit. Any other combination of the flop may still beat us with turn and river cards.

| My question is : Is it possible to have flop, turn and river combination where 4 players will have Quads, Quads, strt flush, and strt flush?

| close but 5 high straight flush (you hold A5s on 234 flop) is lower and no one else can make another straight flush with you holding the 5. You have to be holding the A though, that's the tricky part. |

| Yep ![]() Just seen your post. A5s is the one. You always have to have the 5 or the 10 in hand to stop anyone else making a straight flush. ( It's a bit too early in the morning here lol )

| ok here's a tough one that I've heard different answers too and haven't completely figure out: Which two starting hands are the most dominating? For example: AA vs 72 is 87.04% (there are several more stacked than this though) see if you can find one more than 94.2% That's the best one I could think of |
