Just wondering:

- What are the odds of that exact hand happening?

- If you were the guy holding the quad 10s, would you ever consider folding after a bunch of raises on the river? ( if you were playing a high buy-in tournament like the wsop)

It happened to a guy in the WSOP, 9999 vs QQQQ.

I'll see if I can find the link m8 . He nearly died...

I'd like to think I could fold, but I don't know...

odds of that? geez I don't know. I'd have to think it through. Test tomorrow, though, and already wasting too much of my time on here.

Which two starting hands are the most dominating?

For example: AA vs 72 is 87.04% (there are several more stacked than this though)

see if you can find one more than 94.2% That's the best one I could think of
AA vs A9 is the most dominating combo. But recently you lost to A9 with ur AAs Was that you?

good point. never realized only 2 cards can stop any possible straight flush.

Simple reason being that you need a 5 or 10 to make a straight.

First of all you are correct I did lose with AA to A9 all in (but it was suited so that technically doesn't count ) Anyway, A9 is the worst hand against AA but there's an even more dominated pair up.

AA v A9 (off suit where 9 is the same as one of the AA suits) A9 can win or tie 6.53% of the time.

There's one where the losing hand only has a 6.12% of win/tie.

I found it on another forum once and checked that it is even more dominating than the AA/A9 matchup. Still not sure if there might be another one. That's why I was asking.

The calculator I use, if the 2 is the same suit as one of the pocket Kings gives a 5.64% chance of winning, you could be right there teebs.

Indeed...If the 2 is of a different suit then the kings, it gives it an extra 0.97% chance of winning

yeah KK v K2 (with the 2's suit killed) is the one I was thinking of. And I think it's the high-or-lowness of the A that makes it work better for the King to dominate.

I wonder if there's a better one too. And I wonder about Omaha starting hands. Or Stud...
