Don,t know about everybody else but in the area where i live there is a lot of pub/bar poker played. £10.00 entrance fee for 10,000 chips, blinds start at 100/200 and go up to a capped amount for example 15 plyers would have a Blind cap of 10000/5000which is worked out on the number of players (15000 total blinds for 15 players. Top 3 players get share of the total pot - in this example £80.00, £50.00, £20.00

I started playing this about 8 months ago and did quite well as nobody knew my game. Then from October until about 3 weeks ago i didnt get a thing - always final table but always short stacked and generally blinded out.

I made a decision to change my game and be a bit more aggressive - i was playing too tight.

In the last 10 days i have played in 14 games (we sometimes play 3 a night) i have won or split with second place 10 times and come third once - the other 3 i was first out (the risks you take) - i have totalled nearly £650.00 and havent touched my wages this month and had a lot of fun.

The strange thing is that certain players who i have always played against are now having a go as they say i am chasing too many hands and hitting lucky and its ruining the games - they say that its not poker. Im not playing stupid bingo poker i have just increased my flop/turn seen ratio and yes i have been hitting.

Is my answer of "who won, who's still in and who's got the money" a little harsh - surely i cant be doing much wrong if im winning

Good onya mate. Sounds like a case of sore losers to me? Maybe they need to practice a bit more or change their strategy. Either way, if your playing well and doing well then enjoy. Be iteresting to see what they say if you happen to get a lean run (hope you dont though). GL mate

i used to hate playin aggressive players, as i used to play very tight. but have learned to see more flops, especialy when the blinds are low.
sounds to me that you`re apponents don`t know how to play poker,lol.
have you tried playin for cash online yet mate?...

I like the games i play in the pub as it is only a tenner and i can decide from there whether or not i play another. I am even against buy ins when we play although it increases the final pot it gives an advantage to the ones who have a bit more money and encourages poor play

where i live there isnt any games, but when im in atlanta the bars have games no buy ins and pay the top 3 places 50:00 35:00 10:00 it isnt bad its a nice way to spend time at the bar every 4 months all the winners compeete for 2000:00
