reasons for the lack of interest in the sit and go

speaking purely personally, my objections to the sit and go tables are only one of endless waiting for them to fill up. Maybe a small improvement would be to have a specified start time, say every hour on the hour, that way you could put your name down then check the list at five minutes to, if the table was filled you play , if not you wait another hour. Another possibility would be to give chips away as an incentive, for instance, as with the five posts on the forum plan, maybe five completed sit and go's would give the player x amount of chips. I have my body armour on ready for the onslaught, lol, so go ahead

sounds like a good idea fred but maybe the games could go ahead on the hour regardless of the table not being full,so even if there is only 3,4,5 people on the table the game starts,i know i have been registered for a game and got fed up waiting so un-registered,just a thought.

I agree Dav, its the waiting that gets to you, I would enjoy sit and go games if the tables could be filled, or even partly filled

revamped sit and go's are being worked on, with larger prizes, but flash version is taking priority for the coders/techs

there is a thread with planned improvements for them, if i find it i'll post a link here

its not possible without a major revamp of coding for the games to start without tables being full

When players will understood that you cant earn money fast (fast came,
fast go away), then will be more players on s&gos, but thats for real money playin,
for free chips s&gos will never be no.1 choice for players.
After 1 year playin for money s&g tourneys are my money play choice no.1.
There i earn money for MT tourneys.
So, advice for all free chip players: traning your skill on s&gos.

I agree with joYa that the S&G is a great training ground, particularly if you have interest in playing the real money side...

As for the suggestion of letting the S&G's start without being full, those who were here on the 1st OP66 script will remember that was the way it was "back in the old days"

As a "flasher", once I register for a sng, I cannot unregister. If we do not get enough players in a reasonable time, I lose my chips. I've lost quit a few so far and it hurts as I have limited time to play. I like the idea of starting within the hour ... or better yet letting me unregister if it doesn't start within the hour.

Ive played 3 sit and goes tonight due to no tournies and they were brill, started making me enjoy poker again although I lost, great training grounds and great play. One of them took longer than the BC to complete with only 6 I am definitely going to be playing more.
