please be carefull with your answers here dont want this thread to be closed ,but i feel the river card could be a good discussion .
my theory of the river is in real life live poker what we watch most hands dont get to river,but if they do its normaly a heads up and the hand would have been won before the river card,but in free poker most hands are seen out to the river by sometimes 4 or 5 players and the river nearly always influences the outcome whats your thoughts,and again please be carefull with answers

yep, free poker, lots of chasing, and someone gets lucky.

and you right, if there's 4 or 5 players in the hand,then there's 14 cards in play after the turn, thats over a quarter of the deck.

so someone is bound to hit the river most of the time.

my advice would be if you hit the flop and think your ahead, kill the hand and take the pot

I will play to the river it is a big part of hand I won some lost many but if the other hand cards dictate it i will bet to the river

if i hit the flop, especially two pairs i don't hang around anymore, got drowned in that river two many times. Think i have more lives than a cat now.

The river usually drowns me. I would say 75% of the time. But today i got lucky hitting some rivers. The river is usually my foe, but today it was a friend. I dont think i played any differently today than other days. So dont know why i hit on the rivers. I guess today was my lucky day.

no its everythin.... the whole card system is BS.... i think basic game strategy has gone to an all time LOW.... i think people just call anything... and hope they hit and sad part is the bingoers normally do... u cant get away from the fkn bingo.... not even real $$ is safe from the donkeys who magically hit runer runner with some shite hand like 26 offsuit....

this no longer seems to be a poker site... more a site of lucky crap hands winning.... and how many quads are seen nowadays... granted the flushes are fewer that the old script but quads are like any other hand now.... not so special

ur all gonna say 'get on with it' etc.... but u have to admit.... something just doesnt seem right... how come in an all in situation.... regardless of what u have.. the biggest stack WINS.... even if they called with crap?

and no matter what anyone says... the system is a computer.... the computer has already decided who is gonna win the hand...

and y is it whenever im dealt a pocket pair.. those VERY SAME cards end up in the flop 90% of the time in the very next hand?

the shuffler seems to have flaws.... and weather it is or isnt 'random' (although i cant see y it would be rigged) the experience of playing poker online because of this..... just seems to be fading away....

so forget the river.... thats always gonna happen, as the bingoers cant seem to fold....

i just hope it calms down very soon as i have even stopped playing the rings because of it.... (and thats where i loved to play)... i just dont know if i can be bothered to wait for it to happen....

I play in real life tournaments every week, last night I was taken out in16th place bye quad twos, I played A J clubs on my BB went all in (low stack 7k) blinds were 2k and 4k everyone folded except for one player who called with 22, 2 on the flop and a two on the river...sound familiar.

The week before on final table went out in 3rd place Blinds were 15k and 30k, had pocket queens, small blind raises to 50k, I am BB push all in with 130k, he calls with 22, queens held up until the river, you guessed it he hit trip twos trust me its no different from real poker, still get the bingo players who will chase and call anything and get it on the river, thats where the luck comes in. On one table last we had a royal flush, quadsx3, and FH beat by higher FH...

If you are taking bad beats, ask your self, could I have played the hand any different/or should I have even played the hand?

there u go 2 hands in a row in real money,unreal.first one pkt 7`s flopped trips,raised got reraised so i go all in then get called he hits flush on river,2 hands later i hit 2 pair on turn so bet all in to get him out but he calls and hits straight on the river,no point in putting real money in here to play on the rings,just for tournies if any one is going to put money on here.

bad beats all the time by getting rivered,if u go all in to get them away and they still call what can u do,cant beat the script.

Yea it happens online, on here and elsewhere and it happens in real games and I'm sure most people would agree with that. But the difference is the frequency it happens on here at the moment is not 'normal'. I tend to agree with Hondr's comments about a flawed shuffler. As I posted elsewhere there is no way it's normal to see 9 full houses in the first 50 hands of a game, a game I was in and still have the hand history for. I'm not saying it's rigged but that sure aint normal and sure aint random.
