Default The rules? ............Don't be silly!!!

The site has rules but apparently you don't have to take any notice of them.

If that seems to have a hint of sarcasm to it then I apologise because it's meant to have far more than just a hint.

I played in an Ultra Outlaws tourney today not to my surprise happened to notice two particular players at the tables again.

Both of these players have been at tables and abused and sworn at other players on more than one occasion.

Also one of them entered an invite tourney and refused to leave when politely (at first) asked by other players. In addition to that, when asked to leave by a mod at the table, and to stop acting in an inappropriate way or risk being banned, the player simply said 'go on then, ban me' They also said what they had folded while a hand was still live, not accidentally either because when asked not to do it they simply said it made no difference (clearly shows they are stupid if they believe that) and that they didn't care anyway.

They were removed from that tourney and I'm assuming also received a temporary ban as I hadn't seen them on the site for a little while.

I'm sure the mods do what they can within the rules, but it seems to me that the rules simply aren't adequate when it comes to dealing with idiots like these two morons.

If your the type of idiot who is happy to abuse other players, say things to affect live hands, blatantly say you don't care if your acting against the rules and the worst that is going to happen is to be temporarily banned, then it's no wonder that they just carry on doing it.

The vast majority of people I meet on this site seem to respect the rules and the other users of the site. There are a brain dead minority who don't, and I don't see why they should have the privilege of getting a second chance. Why should they? so they can come back and behave the same way again?

C'mon OP put some effective rules in place to deal with these idiots. Yes there are varying degrees of inappropriate behavior, and therefor varying degrees of penalizing the person instigating it. But if acting like these two clowns have doesn't warrant a permanent ban then what the heck does???

Stevo,
I believe in giving people a second chance.
Maybe they have learnt their lesson after the temporary ban; you do not mention what their behaviour was like in the Ultra.
Obviously if they reoffend a permanent ben is then necessary.

I agree with giving people a second chance too, when it's relatively minor.

But what if they have been very abusive to people, and not in a joking way. Using swear words i.e 'F' you and the 'C' word and extremely crude sexual comments directed at females??

And what if they have already had a chat ban because of it???

Sorry mate but I reckon giving people like that a second chance is a load of crap. Get rid of them from the site permanently I say.
