I hear what you say Kev but reading between the lines (or actually the lines themselves) suggests to me that the site has had its day. Basically it ain't economical and its become an out of control monster. Basic economics will mean that the free side and pay side must merge. So I say lets live with it and be happy.

Blacklava needs to add in a few of the old features, such as allow chat if you'rer not actually playing and and indicator to show the hand and It will be virtually the same just no lag.

I thought if it was test you wouldnt hve to add anything just play on that side with play money?,so as SHilly said it does sound like its going to be like any other poker site,i dont think if it was asite you would add tournaments and Chats yet.

Call me cynical but ll of a sudden EVERYONE is off the old site and registered to a "REAL CASH" poker site............ Format, table layout, etc identical to "Real Money" sites

Fantastic if you were looking to sell ....... No one buys "free play" sites....

Real money sites with a signifcant base..mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

through the problems, along with the players here the game script has kept so many of us keep poming back and playing here...

so i do love the old script,wot we dont no yet is can the new script be modified in anyway to make it any closer to the old one...

we have to remember that lava has more or less set up a new free online poker site in 1 day....

so there will be problems like accounts not changing over and such...

if the new script does work better...can it be adapted and made more user frendly and such..

thats why i say lets wait and see...

hey guys, I see the problems here- I too struggled to get on the site,and also was beginning to think it was a con job until I finally worked it out. The help you need is all on the forum posts,that and a bit of time and you'll get to the free tables. Once there,there really isn't much difference, it just doesn't look the same. That's it. It plays smoothly, and it's still about the poker with the option to chat with your friends. If everyone gives it a few days and doesn't just dive onto the "it's not what im used to so I hate it" train, I don't think you'll be disappointed.It's a trial,as they say. So let's give it a fair trial. Peace.

but i would add i have never been on a free poker site that does not also have money tables as well..

Now we all play non newbie tables and have the newbie muted activation script in the chat box ................. WHY COULD THEY NOT PUT ABOUT THIS IN THERE

I have ALREADY posted my concerns about this being amalgamated with the REAL money site .....

As there are a few players from other small sites using the same free tables there it would be unfair to apply a 5% loss anymore to our players so I'm sorry but the toplists values will go up to the sky for now there... Meaning no more 5% loss for now!

So this site has been amalgamated with other sites.... (ITS NO TEST)...

I watched the King of The Hill table and one guy was asking who jockney bounty kosty kingshaun and fozzy were as they had not seen them on "this" site before........ they are EXTREMELY WELL KNOWN members

I believe that answers all questions...... THIS SITE (OP66)HAS BEEN SOLD OR MERGED WITH OTHER SMALLER SITES.

Okay shilly,maybe I haven't been around long enough to appreciate the differences that matter to those who have been here longer. But we still have the forum,and we still have the poker. I still think we should give it at least a few days of fair trial. There's at least one table which is full of folk from the original 66....if we flood the tables,how much does the type of game matter when it's still poker with your mates and you can have a laugh with them? I do respect your opinions and feelings though.

I was at first against the new look but after surfing around, i started to understand what is up with the game listings. The tables look a little crowded but is fast and easy. I will wait to make judgement until the new look comes about for the game listings.

Personally im a bit miffed with the way this has all come about.

Lava does a great job and is always looking to improve the setup as a whole and for his efforts in doing so i dont or wouldnt knock him for that, but to just suddenly introduce this new setup has really caused some problems. A little bit of notice would have been nice.

Instead of introducing it at the weekend when people look forward to their spell of free poker i feel it would have been better done during the week- With notice beforehand. The weekend has now been spoilt for some people and i feel sorry for them for that reason.

This move to move the free tables over to the pay site and having people transfer their chips and creat a new account was bound to cause issues, and without warning has really upset a lot of people.

Anyhow, although i have my reservations with how this has all come about i do hope the end result will eventually keep op66 looking and have the same feel about it when i first joined. It was/is amazing.

Some one mentioned how this site was unique..well, it certainly is!
