Default showing a bluff/rude or not?

i was at a play money ring game today.
it was a 6 seat table with 2 people i know,
and 3 strangers to me.
now i felt 3 of the strangers were cold if not rude.
there bets were kinda pushy.you know 3or4 all ins in a row.
so when i had a chance and the cards fell right
a made a big move on a big pot and got them to fold.
then showed 72 off.no pairs no str8 no flush...nada!!

was it rude to show them..
i felt i was given back what they were dishin out.
but i kinda felt bad right after i did it.
kinda mentioned it to at the table, that i would make a thread.
so here it is...was i rude? please speak plain!!

Well you know how I feel about it mike, if its done to you its ok to do it back, but to do it to a friend its rude thats unless he did it first.

I was told that it's a good move to show a bluff sometimes because you are more likely to get called when you have a good hand. Also it can make your opponent get riled and try to get their own back, which can lead them to make silly moves. I agree with Sweeney though that it's not good to make a friend feel that they've been had.Use with caution lol

i dont have a problem with it friend or not, as stated before it can help later on when you do have a hand.To be fair i dont show that often when i bluff ,but when you are down to 3 or 4 players left it can be used as a tactic to put your opponents off their stride, after all arent we all playing to win ?

If you want me to be totally honest m8....well played , bluffing is a big part of the game and if u a player on ur table who likes to push if they have a hand or not u need to show them that u can out play them so they will be a bit more hesitive the next time they try to bluff u.

Showing cards is before all a matter of manipulating table image and information. So it has to be done intelligently, in tune with a game plan.

You disclose some information for free, so it has to serve a purpose.

Personally, I never felt insulted by anyone showing cards.

Frank if you felt it was the right thing at the time to do, then it would be the right thing to do believe me. A gentleman like you are few and far between, however, there on one or two guys who come close lol.
