Depending on whos on my table I will show or not show depends on what mood Im in I never do it with disrespct in mind. I have been asked not to show on numerous occasions but that shows its getting to them so I continue to do it a wound up player is easier to beat.

As an aside to this and we have had this conversation before if you dont show why all the NH's noone knows what youve got seems a bit bizarre to me I actually find that more condescending than someone saying well played on a good bluff.

poker is a complex game played on many levels
show/dont show
bluff/dont bluff
aggressive/passive
bluffing then showing is part of the game its part showmanship part psychology
spread those seeds of doubt , keep others off balance , and most of all keep them guessing
after all who doesnt think twice when they see those immortal words ......... its Yoda time
lmao

We need a poll - should we shoot Keith then hang him, or hang him then shoot.

Did somebody say ring table.

I don't know what that is. My flash player is down but I do recall them being called binger or banger, no wait, BINGO!!!! They were called BINGO tables.

How can you be rude playing on those tables lol. I do that occasionally to show them how stupid they are. Stupid is to strong of a word. I should say how stupid they are. Whooops, said it again.

Really now, it's part of the game. A few have said above and I agree with them. You can set someone up for failure doing that. Rude to a friend or showing them up, nah, it's showing that with the right circumstance, you will play poker.

I would say hangem, then shootem. All will be happy!!!!!

Showing a bluff is fine. Its is a weapon that all serious players will occasionly use to get their opponents on tilt or more importantly to play a later hand the same way only to show the nuts. Its a strategic thing. But ithink its against even pro players unwritten rules to do it in a cash game after u beat some one out of a huges stack or showing all your bluff is considered bad etiqueit. But remember poker is war and stratagy and any thing u can do within the rules to give you an edge is most appropriate but if over done or in bad taste after big loss from opponent it is rude but well within the rules of poker. Its these type things that make poker so unique of a game in all forms I myself arent a good bluffer but if the situation arises especially in a cash game or tourney ill show a bluff just to keep them honest more than too upset or tilt them but ill do that too against an especially tough opponent.

Rude... not at all m8. and i certainly wouldnt worry about doing it again in the future. especially on a play money ring table. if it was a cash table however, then i'd say showing would be unwise, probably best to keep your cards to yourself.
