Sitting Out Too Many Hands in mini-tourney

I was just wondering how many hands is too many to sit out in a mini-tourney? It hasn't happened to me but I've seen people be eliminated for sitting out too many hands. So how do you know exactly how many is too many?

You mean 4 hands in a row? That seems a bit harsh, like what if your cards just totally suck?

I agree it is four, and that number applies to sitting out OR timed out I believe.

You can FOLD as many times as you like,but if you time out and the comp folds for you,or if you check the sit-out box,then yes it's 4 times...

no, YOU can FOLD as many as you wish..."sitting out" is when you have the box checked, you don't get any cards, or... you get timed out, and the computer folds for you.

When they say ‘sitting out’, it means that you are inactive and did not even fold when your turn came.
You may fold as many times as you wish until you run out of chips.

I had the same question when i first came to the site and noticed it, is there a thread that explaines these sort of rules anywhere on the forum for newbies?
