Default Take Too Long To Bet

Why does it take some players forever to fold or bet? the clock gives you 25 or 30 seconds to bet but you dont have to take it. If there are 10 players at a table and every player took 25 seconds to react then that is 5 minutes a hand. at that rate it would take all day to finish a tournament. I know you say some players need the time to think and i say yes that is true but just think if it is good for him why not everyone. Maybe if there were more tables or the time limit was shorten it would speed up the game a little more..What are you thoughts on this?

The baz and turbo tables are there with shorter times to play, try those if the normal tables feel to slow for you.

some people like to think about what they are doing, calculate estimated odds, and think if what they are going to do is going to be right

Try playing in a live game, if you think 15 or 30 seconds is a long time!

i find this quite frustrating at times also, though not for the same reason. my gripe with players who take until the last few seconds of the clock to make their play is that it usually when this is happening that my table freezes.
i was playing in a tourney last nite and there were two players on it that did this every hand. when one of the players made their play quite quiclky, the check, bet, fold bubble would appear, then their play would appear in the chat box.
when it got to one of the slowcoaches, nothing, the clock counted down, nothing, the clock disappeared, nothing, wait a few seconds, nothing, wait a few more seconds, oh wait what's that; nope, nothing.
close the table, open the table, connect to server, guess what, yes, i'm dealt out. my hand is still showing, i had at least 6 winning hands that i couldn't play. even though i was chip leader, i had to start going all-in on every 3rd hand to avoid being eliminated on autofolds. itwasn't fun and it sure wasn't poker.
so if you're one of those that take forever to make yur play, bear that in mind, especially during the really busy periods.

I know it's frustraiting sometimes but as fozzy said play the ultra fast tourney or the fast ring tables.
I know when the lag is here when i place my bet right away it takes 10 to 15 seconds to actually happen on table. So what I am saying as long as no rules are being broken deal with it or change tables.

Very often its the lag that causes people to look slow.Im sure its happened to all of us you press fold and sit there waiting for your cards to be folded. You know this is annoying other players but there is nothing you can do.

I agree with your premise. I do try to make up my mind before it is my turn. I make a game to see how fast I can calculate the number of outs and pot odds. Unless something happens unexpectedly just before my play, I know what I am going to do before it is my turn.

I think it's people playing more than one table at a time. They look at one and don't bother with the other one until they get the warning beep.

I usually have two tables open all the time but I have it divided so that I can see my seat at both tables and bet or whatever in a timely manner. The Baz ultra's are a little more tricky click on time when your looking at another table but you get used to it.

I wasn't saying anything negative Bassmaster. I'm guilty of it myself.

I didn't take it in a negative way. Some players have screens covering screens and try to play. That is pretty much impossible, at least for me.
