I have an Eagle on one forearm and a snake on the other, which apparently is the emblem of Mexico City, but I'm sure I was not aware of that when I had them done over 30 years ago.

For mothers day my sister and I took my mum to get our first tattoos. We have the same rose (rose is my mums middle name) tattoo on our shoulders each with the first letter of our names over the rose. It was something special to do together. Since then I've definitely caught the tattoo bug.....hmmmmm....what to get next.....?

I have a celtic phoenix on one arm.. I was having a rough time when i got that done and its now a symbol of rising from the ashes as a new person..

And i have a celtic band on the other arm.. I want some more but i havnt decided what i want yet so im holding on till i do...

Some lovely and funny posts here for sure. I do have two wee little baby footprints and a small butterfly at the bikini line. Very sentimental and I love it.

I started this post sometime ago I know...
I vented some the other night on the table, But still haven't got this outta my system...I got into trouble at work for my tattoo...Grrr...
I love my tattoo and have no regrets of it. But it's gotten pretty hot down here in the south so I have put away the pantyhose and I am goin' bared legged to work now. I work in a Home health care office as a secretary. We don't deal with patients or customers only paper work. The only ppl. we see are our nurses, therapist and my other co-workers. We have to dress to the 9's always have to wear heels and dress professionally. Still don't understand why...except they say if you dress that way you are more to act that way.(professionally) Kinda see that point. Cause we did get to have casual Friday the other week, and I wore my jeans and tennis shoes...btw very comfy...lol...but I did have a lady to make me mad and the red started to come out in me quickly. (redneck)
But anyways my gripe is that I was told I had to cover my tattoo....I had to put a bandade over it... Do yall think this is wrong or I'm I bein' silly? Here is a picture of it...I would love to hear yalls opinion on this....It's on my ankle.

Sounds a wee bit over the top sc, and the band-aid tops it off!. I know that south can be a bit conservative
but what year is it? There's nothing offensive about it.

LoL... Capo yep it's on the ankle, and I think it's ridiculous that I have to cover it...Now I have everyone askin' what happened to ya ankle...Thank you I love my tat, and I hate havin' to cover it up...

its a lovely tattoo hun ,cant see how thats offensive to anyone ,wether you work in an office or with the public ..its your choice whats it got to do with any employer!!!!

Thank you Del and shezz, I went and read the rule book...it is in there that you can't have visible tattoo's, but it also states a bunch of other stuff that you can't do or show... e.g. like wearing more than one ring...
This rule isn't enforced tho, along with others...
But, I'm also breakin' that rule and nothing is said about that...
So don't wanna really rock the boat cause, I would absolutely refuse to take off my rings.

think it might be about time the rule book was re-written lol...its not like youve got any on your face..theres no swearing or obscene art on your ankle ..some rules where made to be broken ,stand up for your rights hun,what happens when male colleagues where short sleeved shirts and tats are showing on their arms ?
