Default That's poker!!!

how many times have i heard this, "THAT'S POKER"

well its not poker when you call an all in on a flop that is kc ah 6s with 8 3 off suit and win with 3 3 on turn and river.

I have been playing holdem for 50 years and i have never seen such ignorance as i see here.

so all i can figure out about all this is that it is not poker when u play for free chip.

it is just nothing, like who cares if i lose 3000 free chips from my 10 billion free chip stack. it doesnt mean anything, a waste of time.

why play poker to try and really learn the game, when u can go all in with crap and sit in from of your computer and laugh your sides off when u win.

now im not saying that i dont have a rep for all in play, but when u call me u always see a suited high connector or high pair,

i do this in real play also, but in real money games i never show my cards unless they pay to see and it is not for 3000 dollars, all ins at my real money games are the most 200 dollars.

in real money games i have seen players fold aces when another goes all in, and why is this, it is because "IT'S REAL"

Real money that you have to work hard for is really hard to risk.

play chips ,,,,,,,,, well u know what i mean.

so remember this the next time you make a thread about how could this happen, or what is going on or did i make a good call, or any other shouda woulda coulda stuff, it is not REAL so it easy to do stupid calls it cost NOTHING.

Sorry for your apparent bad beat, J. I agree though. I got my start here on the old site playing with play chips, but after winning enough free rolls I play almost exclusively on the money side for that very reason. I miss the friendly times on the play chip side (which I still get from Outlaws tourneys), but even though there are good players on play chip side, the over all play is donk play. Keep your head up, get used to bad beats unless you are playing for real dough.

"That's not poker" but that is "Free/cheap poker"

Got news for you, Jay... I spend plenty of time on the cash side here... unfortunately, loads of donk play there as well... until you get to the $5 and $10 buy-in levels, people don't really give a rats behind.......

Gotta disagree with you there Jim.
I play every day on the cash side 5c/10c rings and £1/£2 double ups - the donks are certainly in the minority; the odd player who soon looses his stack or occasionally gets lucky and leaves, but certainly no more than any other site.
Or maybe I've been lucky.

It's almost ideal to have all good players except one or two donks. It's like a pinata for the rest of the seasoned players.
