Hi, i am fairly new at this. Can anyone tell me what sort of tournaments etc. you need to play in to have a chance of getting on the toplists or how to get medals.

To get points and medals you need to play in the multi table tournament, which happen every 5 hours.

You get points and chips for placing in the top 15, the link below will explaind how that works.

Chips winning in multi's depends on how many people enter and the price of registration.

Like stjimmy said the best place for chips is to play minis.

Best way to get up onto the chips toplist (from my point of view and how i done it) is to first of all build up a fairly large stack on the lower tables anything up to the 40k then when you feel comfy and have been winning on a regular basis move up to the next lot eg 100 200 and do the same and just carry it on like that. Some new people come on here win a 100k then jump straight to the mistress thinking ive just won that it will be easy from now on failing to remember the difference in the standard of play due to all the top players being on there. Same as tourneys just take your time to build it up and try not to worry if you get low or have a bad run of cards. Play your game and you will be fine. Good luck

Very good advice. When I first hit a million, I started playing the big tables and went right back to 1k. I've got about 17-18 Million now, from doing exactly as kopite suggested but tend to mainly play the 66K buy in tables , I lost about 5 million yesterday on the bigger ones.
