Got an dea for the OPP66 tornys..

At the moment there is a top list for All Time medal winners, pretty much out of reach for quite a few people, thats great and it should stay.

As mentioned in many posts about maybe increasing the prizes and responces mentioning how it would draw in the avareage bingo player, how about - keep everything the same as it is but make a seperate top list, maybe for 3 monthly, 6 monthly or even yearly top list medal winners, at the end of the period selected the Gold, Silver and bronze top medal winners get a prize.

Top Gold medal winner = 100,000 per gold won
Top Silver medal winner = 40,000 per silver won
Top Bronze medal winner = 10,000 per bronze medal won

This I think would give people something to aim for and keep the popularity of the torny going, I myself (probably just me) find I get bored halfway through a torny and do silly things because there just doesnt seem to be much prestige at the end of it, I'm not bored with poker!! would just love to have a goal, also not having billions in my chip stack, backed up with 30LP's, I feel this would be a great goal, especially for the poor, like me..

we used to have a monthly toplist for medals and points,think it went for 28 days then a running total continued day to day was good to keep an eye on how players was doing during the month,there was also a chips leader board for newbies with a running total for a month i think so you could see who was making it big in the newbies stakes,lava worked hard in our toplist department and he might have plans to bring these back

tournament toplists are reset once a year, and run from january 1st.

all points/medals tho will remain in the all time lists

I like your ideas for different top lists over certain time spans. Hopefully when BlackLava and the tech team have ticked off a massive amount of things on their to-do list we can get the monthly rolling top list back.

As for goals.
I myself went through that stage.I couldnt see how i would be able to catch the leaders or even keep up with some of them.I struck on the idea of going for the Grand Slam of all 5 OP66 tornyz. Not many members have achieved it yet. I managed it a while back now but im thinking of going for the double, dont think anybody has done that yet.

On the subject of boredom in a torny.
Well that is a part of your game you need to work on.
Cut out the silly moves and your bankroll/medal count will vastly improve.
If you can place in every torny you enter then you will start to gain on the toplisters.
Thats easier said than done though.

All I can assune from the size of my Chip balance is that I must be just plain and simple crap at the game!!! lol.

The ring tables are pretty much unplayable due to the bingo, which i`m sure most people agree, winning Hets hardly is enough to boost you up a peg, really is it!! and yes, I have won Hets. :P I think the prize was 32,000.. now if I manage to win it every day for a year, it might be different (gets out calculator) hmmmm, thats 11,680,000... now where does that put me in the chip order?? lol

Some good ideas there mate. One thing I set as a goal is to try and improve my tourney average. The Grand slam is definately on my list of things still to be ticked off......................boy I have such a long list of things I haven't achieved lol
