Unhappy Trying to Lose or Bullying ?

Ive just been in a game where every hand one player, went All In, kept winning and then kept up a running commentary about his misfortune at winning.

I don't know how others feel but whilst I think all in is a valuable tool and there are reasons for using it wanting to lose it not one of them. If you want to lose sit out, or dont register.

or as my more cynical side thinks it is a form of bullying, or pyschological warfare (which to my shame I fell for!) Either way its not fair on people who are wanting to learn...

I have found that the best way to deal with the "All-In" player is to fold. After you have folded enough, they will see that you are not going to play "their game" and they will either leave the table or start playing "Your Game" The key to this is that when ever it is down to just a few players, that will not go all-in, they are forced into playing "Your Game" or leaving. Don't let them bully you into going all-in. Just take your time and stay calm, this shows them you are in charge of your game.
I hope this helps.

There is no such thing as 'BULLYING" in poker.
if you're referring to a player taking advantage of his/her higher chip stack, It's called WINNING lol
When that term bullying pops up, have a a guess who usually says it.
But most of all, play your own game. if it means taking a chance you think is good. do it.!

As for unfair to those that wish to learn Rubbish! Just dont play NL

It's a tough call sometimes, wait for the right hand to play, or sit-out and try a different tourney. That's about all you can do.......and keep smiling

I confess I was quilty of this very thing a couple of days ago (Monday). I thought I would loose quickly and get out, but I just kept winning. Clearly it disrupted the game and was not fair to the other players.

I hate it when I am on the other side of an "all in every hand" player. I, for one, will never do it again. Cat is correct. If a game runs long and you must go. Just sit out and go. Do not ruin the game play for everyone else. That will be my choice in the future.

Finally, to those who had the misfortune to be on the table with me Monday, I am truly very sorry.

i never mind an all in player- no one ever calls em and my 7-8 off wins like 90% of the time. i cant understand having so much chips that you can all in and lose over 3.5 in 30 min. but if your in the mood to give chips away come find me.

Its something I experienced a couple of days ago and thought it ruined the game. I know it's poker and you wanna win but to bet all in and huge amounts only puts off the newish players. After all it is for fun and to make new friends and have a laugh.
Don't like these type of players and was glad when anton, who was on the table also , took him on , kicked his butt and wiped him out.

I think it is great experience for a new player.

If they call the all-in and lose, they'll think to themselves not to make such an error again.
Fastest way to learn is to fail as hard as possible once and never repeat mistakes.

I guess this thread leaves me to question ( I have never played poker in real life for money) so are you allowed to freely speak when playing in a casino or such? If so then I don't see anything wrong its just their way they play the game!

You're not allowed to reveal your hand whilst people are still in the pot if you've already folded.

Table etiquette and stuff.
