So i just woke up to find i finished 5th in Wombats tourny even though it shut down on us. I'm confused because when it shut down i was in 1st place by 2k in chips. So if I'm winning when it shuts down how do i finish in 5th if it blinded us and kept on running?

The issue was an internet connection one... Meaning servers were still running behind, drawing cards & folding players until they are all-in : You can still lose if you are chip leader.

Explain to me how that is possible. If your winning and have more chips than anyone else wouldn't they all blind out before me?

....because not everyone loses connection at the same time. some people are lucky enough to stay connected while other's get frozen out and/or can't get in.

I'm not sure of what is below but in my mind it's how it should work :

Player A : 1000 chips
Player B : 1000 chips
Player C : 2000 chips

If the blinds are 50/100 and everyone out of the table you can play 1000 hands it will have the same result, stacks will be stable : When folding SB players A & C still got enough to pay BB and make player C fold the SB.
(Same story apply for blinds below 500/1000 in our case then)
When reaching 500/1000 players A & B won't have enough to make player C fold the SB as they will have only 500 remaining to pay BB.

Hand 1 (50/100)
Player A (button) : 1000 chips
Player B : 1000 chips
Player C : 2000 chips
Player A fold
Player B pay 50 for SB and fold
Player C pay 100 for BB

Hand 2
Player A : 1000
Player B (button) : 950
Player C : 1050
Player A post BB
Player B fold
Player C post SB & fold

Hand 3
Player A : 1050
Player B : 950
Player C (button) : 1000
Player A post SB and fold
Player B post BB
Player C fold

=> Back to 1000, 1000, 1000 and so on




Hand 1 (500/1000)
Player A (button) : 1000
Player B : 1000
Player C : 2000
Player A fold
Player B pay 500 for SB and fold
Player C pay 1000 for BB

Hand 2 :
Player A : 1000
Player B (button) : 500
Player C : 2500
Player A post BB
Player B fold
Player C post SB and fold

Hand 3 :
Player A : 1500
Player B : 500
Player C (button) : 2000
Player A post SB
Player B pay only 500 from BB (All-in)
Player C fold
Cards will count and if player A win he will yet have as much as player C, otherwise we are back to normal...

You will draw 50/50 each time a player is all-in against you and even with 2 times more chips you are only 2 drawings from the end.
(You only have more chance to win if you are chipleader...)
