To answer your question SG, if it was me I would ask them to explain how they believed thay had won. If there was no confusion and it was a case of blatant lying I'd do two things.

I'd PM the organiser first, then I would name and shame, even if it got me banned.

Like others have said if it's an OP member, i.e. one of us, then I reckon all OP members should at least know. Don't seem quite right that it's OK to PM but not say publicly.

i reckon its a 'seperate tourney' so you could name them in that particular tourney thread...right? or at least make a comment on that thread about them being confused over the result then we'll all know who it is

To everyone responding to this thread. Thank you. N0one is looking into it. I have filled him in with the details as have the person who should have won. Not only that, there is a witness to the fact that the one that took the win said he did not want to finish the games against his opponent. to me, that means he forfeited.....the outcome should be decided soon. the person that won the first game and rightfully should have been declared the winner also has finally informed N0one of the situations.
As far as naming and shaming....we all know what the rules say. Let's see if everyone can tell by watching the tourney tree...round 1. That, in itself should be enough for everyone to know.

I know the answer to that one too...
After he got his behind kicked in the first game, he REFUSED to play the second game against his opponent. (i.e., forfeited.)
His opponent chased him around the tables trying to get him to play for 2 hours. His response... don't want to play in the tourney any more to the witness and to his opponent.
the winner of game one finally, in total anger and frustration finally said he could have the f'ing game..........................

REGARDLESS.....he still FORFEITED by refusing to play the 2nd game...

The tourney tree has been updated to show the true winner of the match we have all been discussing in this thread. I would like to thank N0onethere for taking the time to find out from individuals involved what really went on. Well done, N0one!!!!!!


However, the point of this thread is to tell what YOU would do if it happened to you.....not to belittle the individuals involved in the aforementioned tourney.

I think if I was the person who was being cheated I would feel like sending a private message to the organiser explaining what had happened. Then the other person would have their opportunity to speak to the organiser too.It's always a blessing when there is a witness.It's a sad state of affairs though,when there is a situation like this, it can leave a sour taste in the mouth.
I got beaten out yesterday by a much better player than me and I enjoyed every second of it.Let's hope that this little affair doesn't stop everyone else's enjoyment of a great tourny ..
