| I was watching the final table last night on TV and they were looking back at a hand that brought one of the final players to the leader board on a call the commentators could not understand. This is from memory but here is how it played out... Player 1 has JJ Player 2 has AA Player one raises pre flop Player 2 re-raises Player 1 calls Flop comes 9 10 Q Player 1 checks Player 2 bets heavy Player 1 re-raises Player 2 all in Player 1 calls Announcers call Player 2 the winner with AA Turn comes something useless to both, like a 2 River comes 8 Player 1 straight Player 1 wins When asked Player 1 says he never put Player 2 on Aces, thought he was on a low pair.... So he wins on the river, over pocket aces with a straight. Struck me how much like what happens here that is. I wonder how you would play this hand with the big re-raises....

| AA shoulda folded ![]() but serusly, the play does seem much aggressive...but the bit that got me confused was the guy with JJ claiming "thought he could have had small pair..." I would have thought a better read would have been AK...so then, the play on the flop would have been justified (not for player 2, but in player 1's perspective) Overall I'da done the same thing...playing for free ![]() money tho, hmmmmssss...... kwak |

| Hi Tex.. Player 1 has to call the first reraise with pocket Js..unless there were other players calling in the same hand. Heads up, JJ is a pretty strong starting hand and he can't know that the other guy isn't just trying to make a move on him. Once the straight draw came on the flop, he was in a strong position to bluff even if he HAD put player 1 on AA. As for his check-reraise..it's almost as if both players thought the other was trying to bluff and knock the other off a high pocket pair. Player 2 maybe shouldn't have raised after the flop but just checked the turn and river.. what did he think player 1 was holding I wonder? Pkt Qs or even pkt 10s would have been a bad situation for him. I think if I was player 1 I would probably have played it the same way and been happy to have been called a donk. But with my luck the river would have been a 3 lol..
