Where do you play Poker?

I know this forum is for OP66 so that's what the majority of poker discussion will be about. However, I do hear stories of home games and casino trips (and Baz's WSOP journey).

One thing I've heard much less of recently is other sites where people play online. I know a couple that play OP66 for it's play chip tourneys and "other sites" for real dough. I used to play on a couple big sites before "Black Friday", but now I only play here.

Now don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE OP66. The community can't be beat, and all the tourneys and games are really fun too. However, it's not always the best if I want to play any game other than NLHE. Sometimes it's 3 hours until the next tourney of interest, nobody is on any table in my limit range, and no one will sit in a SnG; they just go. I always preferred OP66, but at times like this used to have a fall back with other sites.

This isn't one of those "What's wrong with the site" or "How can we make it better" type of threads. I don't look to change anything. I just want to know of any other sites that a US player like me can fall back on when the day is slow.

Now I just read the TOS and couldn't find the part about discussing other sites, but just to be safe you can always PM me your response or very cleverly and cryptically post a reply about it.

But beyond me finding a "home away from home", I also just wanted people's answer to the question in the title: Where do you play Poker? I know you all have great home game and casino stories. Thought I'd make a place for them.

I used to play at the same "other site" for real (if petty) money. I played mainly RM, but also Play Chip there, because I had major issues depositing here. I also played RM at a UK Broadcasters site, which was really rubbish.

I have also played a few pub games run by a friend, but it was £10 in fuel to go to a £5 buy-in... LOL.

With all of the above, I have returned to OP66 after about 18 months away. Having tried 4 or 5 of the others, I think this is still the best, especially for the community...

This is the only site I play on, way too much really.
Tuesday Night is my 'live' Poker Night, playing at a local pub, costs £11 and about 30 entrants.

i used ta play other sites for money.
i only play here now for free and the occasional low stakes turney and sometimes the cash rings.
i mostly play live cashgames/turneys. i host a lowstakes turney style game every friday night, $20 buy in (1500 in chips) $5 bounty with unlimited rebuy for the first 2 hrs.

every other monday a game at a long time buddys house same stakes and structure no rebuys $10 bounty.

once monthly at the Club House at a undisclosed golf comunity. slightly higher stakes game. min buy in $500. ring style $5/10 blinds. seen good times and bad there lol.




and seein as how Biloxi is only an hr and a half away i try ta make a turney or 2 at the Hard Rock or Beau Rivage.

This is why OP66 is so great: only 2 mods, yet one instantly replies with exactly the info needed.

Thanks for the replies. I suppose I need to drive up to one of the casinos that are an hour and a half away. Too bad I don't have a pub down the street where I can play.

Thanks all for the responses (and for those that PMed). I found another network that allows US players that seems to be pretty legitimate and get a decent amount of traffic. I may pick a skin, look for some rakeback, and try it out, but I'm so busy I probably won't do that for awhile. In the meantime I'll definitely stick around here in my free time.

Also, I'm more and more considering a trip to the casino an hour and a half north. Anyone on here from Oklahoma or the more Northern part of Texas that ever makes trips to any of those Tex-OK border town casinos?
