Your 2010 poker goals

improve my 10 seater game, no idea why but can hold my own on 6 seaters but on 10 i struggle. anyone got ant tips they will be welcomed.

i play alot more conservative on a 10 seat than a six, blinds coming around slower, more time to wait and hit hard with a premium hand.

let a few players knock them selfs out wait till gets down to 5 or 6 players then play a bit more agressive.

sometimes works, sometimes dont

thanks for the input will try on the sng. thats not possible in a MTT. i think this is the reason my medal count is so low. or maybe im just rubbish

nice thread buddy,
for me i would like to achieve an all round better standard of game which i hope in turn will then help with my next targets of a better average, reaching 50 medals(i currently have 25)and winning the slam, i need the times and mammoth to do that so i might just set the bar a little higher and say i will try for the double.

ok i cant see that working for me gets down to the final 5 and my stacks too small and i get bullied. you were right sal

think doing the opposite might work better hit hard fast build my stack early then site back till final 3. anyone think that sounds stupid feel free to let me know lol

I have watched videos by a guy who plays sit and gos to live. His strategy is to be really tight at the beginning, and as soon as the blinds get high he starts playing very aggressive, shoving all-in with every hand a bit over average. He's made a very big profit and I am playing the same style too and it works really good.

btw daddyspoon sounds like you're learning that nothing works perfect all the time.So why practice?

my goal is to win 20 medals in a year had 9 in 6 months . get my average
up had 2.8 last year this year 3.5 and beat stevo first to $500

if ur talking about cash/ring tables m8 then the trick is to play ultra tight and wait for premium hands.
when u get say aces or kings raise it up big and u are almost guaranteed to get atleast 1 caller because there are 9 other players on the table, so u are gonna get paid off

my goal for 2010 is to concentrate on my cash games and reach a bankroll of 10k

You get AA or KK every 110,5 hands, it takes like 1,5 hours to wait for AA/KK on the ring tables+the blinds also eat you during that time, you lose 16,5BB while waiting a big pair.

id have to say im quite happy with my cash game right now its never going to make me rich but seem to make a steady profit so not to much i want to change there so id have to say my goles for the year its to keep this steady and id also like to try and play more of the op66 big free tornys i think i only played 4 or 5 over all of last year so this year i'd like to try and play at least 1 a week and if i can win say 10 medles this year out of them 52 games i'll be a happy man.........but then knowing me if i win 0 of them i'll still be a happy man as i still find the best part of this game is the fun and the banter i have along the way ;o)
